Mini Horse Heroes
Mini Horse Heroes miniature horses work in New York, New Jersey, the tri-state area, as well as all along the East Coast in honor of P.O. Ken Tietjen.
Our mini horses support local police and fire departments, as well as veterans, assist children and adults experiencing trauma,
provide educational and mentoring programs to high-risk children, and comfort those dealing with life threatening illnesses.
Hamlet

Therapy Horse Hamlet is a six-year old American Miniature horse, who got his name based on the very unique blaze on his face that resembles a question mark. To be or not to be… In addition to his very prestigious role as a Breyer Horse model, Hamlet specializes in working with children who have experienced loss or trauma.
Among his many accomplishments, Hamlet spent time on the ground in Moore, Oklahoma bringing comfort to the children and families who survived the devastating tornadoes in 2013 and is specially trained to work in confined areas such as hospitals and ICUs. He works with children and adults who are dealing with tremendous loss and works with Honor and first responders to bring healing to children who have lost parents in the line of duty.
Honor

Therapy Horse Honor is a three-year old American Miniature Horse who was named in honor of Rescue 1 in New York City. His work includes assisting first responders and veterans – with a special focus on helping children who have lost a parent in the line of duty – and comforting children and families who are experiencing tremendous trauma.
Honor, along with one of his fellow therapy horses, was the first horse to ever work inside a NYC hospital. Even at his young age, Honor has worked with numerous police and fire departments to comfort children, build community relations and bring smiles wherever he goes. Among many other things, Honor has comforted children who have lost their parents in the line of duty, families who lost loved ones on 9/11 and granted final wishes to children and adults who are terminally ill.
